In the ever-evolving business landscape, sustainability has become more than just a buzzword—it's a commitment to a greener and more responsible future.
We either embrace it or risk being left in the dark ages.
What's more, token gestures to give the appearance we care no longer cut it. As businesses, it's our responsibility to take real action; to truly care.
If you're eager for using truly sustainable services - beyond the often superficial act of planting trees, this blog is for you.
Our new sustainable services include:
But how do we provide these services sustainably? Especially when our core sustainability strategy is not just to offset through planting trees?
Read on, and you'll see there's much more your business can now partake in.
Direct mail remains a powerful tool for reaching customers. It uses paper (the epitome of the circular economy model), so it's already pretty sustainable.
Of course, we can draw out more and improve with everything. And that's what we've done.
Our strategy is simple and consistent through the four services mentioned above.
With direct mail, the strategy is to carbon balance the paper. That includes the envelope and the inserts (e.g. letter, postcard, voucher, booklet, brochure, etc.).
How do we carbon balance the paper? We are now one of a handful of accredited World Land Trust (WLT) Carbon-Balanced printers in the UK.
We went through a whole load of criteria to achieve this, and the result for you is that we can now provide carbon-balanced (offset) print and packaging.
Instead of just planting trees, which can take over 20 years to become fully effective (in some cases, never become effective!), carbon-balancing allows us to offset the carbon emissions of your campaigns right away.
How? By supporting WLT conservation projects that protect and restore some of the world's most endangered and carbon-rich forests, which absorb vast amounts of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.
Protecting what we already have has an immediate positive impact on our climate.
Pretty good, right.
However, this blog's purpose isn't to delve into the details of carbon balancing. Still, we urge you to learn more by visiting our new Sustainable Services page.
Leaflets have long been a staple in marketing strategies, but sadly, greenwashing has led some to believe their distribution can be a significant environmental concern.
Flow Fulfilment addresses this issue head-on with our sustainable carbon-balanced leaflet distribution service.
As with direct mail, we provide your door-to-door campaign using 100% carbon-balanced printed flyers.
And to dismiss any concerns, it's not just uncoated paper that can be carbon-balanced. Matt, gloss, and even laminated paper can be 100% carbon-balanced.
Beyond what you send out, with both direct mail and leaflet distribution, targeting plays a massive part in sustainability.
How?
Say you have a roofing business specialising in warm-roof conversions for conservatories. What are your options to reach the right people?
With door-to-door, we deliver on a postcode sector basis, so most people receiving your leaflet won't be interested. However, with direct mail, we can provide data on people in your target area (e.g., North Manchester) who have conservatories and post them out to just those people.
Think of the wastage we save here.
The same is true for door-to-door. We provide complimentary Experian demographic reports to help you select the postcode sectors where residents are most likely to love your service.
For example, if you have a lawn care company, city dwellers in their penthouse suites are hardly your ideal audience. Instead, you know your core audience is people living in the leafy areas with sizeable gardens - our demographic reports give a ranked order of the best postcode sectors for you.
It's a win-win for your business and the planet.
Granted, not all print is for marketing, but we wanted to save creating an entirely new category!
Printing, an essential aspect of many businesses, often comes at the cost of perceived environmental impact.
However, Flow Fulfilment has reimagined print management by introducing an entire carbon-balanced print range.
In partnership with our sister company, The Personal Print Portal, you can access the full range for the convenience of your personalised portal. All your print products are held and ready to order in a few clicks.
Say goodbye to guilt-ridden printed materials and hello to a more sustainable approach to communication.
Efficient order fulfilment is crucial for e-commerce businesses. Still, it doesn't have to come at the expense of the environment.
Flow Fulfilment's pick and pack service is streamlined for maximum efficiency and designed with sustainability in mind.
From eco-friendly packaging materials to optimised logistics, we ensure your products are delivered with minimal environmental impact.
As with all the services above, we can introduce carbon balancing to your pick-and-pack fulfilment.
How?
Two ways. First, the packaging you send your products in, and second, the extra inserts you opt for (such as vouchers, flyers, business cards, etc.).
As with all our carbon-balanced services, you can opt for logos on your packaging and print to demonstrate your commitment to a more sustainable approach. Alternatively, you can keep it subtle and leave them off.
What's more, with all that you do, we provide official monthly certificates from the World Land Trust with calculations of how many m2 of endangered tropical forests you've protected and restored and how many kg of CO2 you've balanced (offset).
You can now embrace sustainability without compromise! If you'd like to find out more or place an order, please contact us today.
